Its been a while.
Here's the latest:
My laptop has been gone for a long time, lots of excuses, but its back, and thats all that matters- with all my years and years of pictures still on it, thank God.
I'm now a charge nurse at the psych hospital I work at. I run a unit for ages 18 and under, and I love it, absolutely L.O.V.E. it. And may I mention, I didn't know that Ativan injections were so THICK.
Things with the husband are rocky. Barely holdin on here. Sick of lies. Sick of drama. Sick of having to hide my medication and money. Alas, I'm still here in hopes things will change. And its Christmastime, thats a big one too..
I got a pretty new car.
My son is amazing, and I all of a sudden have 4 dogs. WTH was I thinking, one I'm convincing myself is just a "temporary rescue situation".
That's all, for now. I'll be back.

Skype is the neatest thing ever.
Today was our first day trying it out.
My son and nephew could do it forever.
They were playing hide and seek on it, and freeze.
What a wonderful way to entertain them both.
So I called the house supervisor and said my sitter is unavailable for tomorrow so I couldn't fill in for anyone.
The terrible part of doing that?
I don't even have a sitter.
I just really hate the unit they wanted me to go on.
Oh well. Not my scheduled weekend to work.
I need to learn the phone numbers so that I don't answer my phone. Lol.

So.. let me do a recap of practically everything in my life.
I'll do a numbered list, because.. they are cool.
1. My dog had puppies. My husband insists on keeping one but he is out of his mind. And of course she went into labor when we both had to work and had a terrible TERRIBLE time. My mother in law was here helping her, and it was decided to take her to the emergency animal clinic.. my wonderful father in law paid since I'm not getting in a constant flow of wonderful nurse pay yet.. and it was a whopping 1300 bucks. Yeah, nice being in even more debt with family. So she had an emergency c-section, lost 2 pups, 6 survived. She and the pups are doing fabulous. They are 4 days old now.
2. The house we are renting we apparently aren't supposed to be renting. According to my father in law (who is the manager for the landlord), the loan the guy had on the house has some issues with the lender. He wasn't supposed to rent it until 5 years was up, and now either he kicks us out, refinances, sells, or pays off the loan in 30 days. I was asked if I wanted to buy it, and I felt pressured, I didn't make a decision. And now I know I don't want to. So I get to tell everyone. And hope the guy refinances so we can stay. It just wouldn't be smart to buy an old house in an area I'm not fond of without a full time job.
3. The husband and my father have worked out their differences. All is well there. However, due to the circumstances and his history (which isn't even a history) the redneck DA wants to prosecute and give him 3-5 years. My dad has told the DA that it was a misunderstanding but the DA doesn't care. My husband's court date is on the 22nd and his defender told him if he brought $750 to court it may help.. yeah.. so um, where can I pull that from? NOT POSSIBLE. Trying not to freak out and hoping it all goes away.
4. I don't like my job. Well, I like my job, but since I'm PRN I go where they need me. And I keep going to the crazy old folks. I DO NOT LIKE THE CRAZY OLD FOLKS. I absolutely hate that unit and have to take a xanax before I get on the floor. They are prescribed to me so I'm not breaking any laws lol. And the precepting program? NON EXISTANT. They literally threw me into it and I have no idea what I'm doing and its all foreign language to me. There is me and one other nurse, and she can't show me how to do anything because she's swamped. So yeah.. not helpful for me at all.. and if this continues, I may just have to step away because I do not want my license on the line because I'm not getting proper training. They called me to see if I'd work this weekend (I'm not scheduled).. I found out what unit.. the same freakin unit AGAIN.. so no, I'm not doing it. Only if I'm scheduled. I've worked as a nurse for 3 whole shifts. And 2 of those sucked so bad.
5. I've applied elsewhere. And I'm crossing my fingers.. and my toes, and my hair, and my eyes, and my shoelaces.
6. I quit smoking before I started working as an RN. (did I mention I started smoking again, I know I posted here in my blog I quit over the summer) WHAT WAS I THINKING? Its been 9 days now, if I go back I will be mad at myself.. so the stress relief with a smoke remains non existant.
7. All of a sudden I'm being approved for credit cards left and right, when did that happen? Is it because I'm an RN?! Cuz this never happened before. I must be careful with that, yet I need to build my credit up for sure.
8. My first phone call with a doctor went pretty smoothly, except I couldn't pronounce half of the medications correctly. Thank. God. He. Was. Nice.
9. When I was working late the other night, I came home to a totally brand new room. My mother in law, while quirky and at times too much into our business (probably because I allow it and tell her everything), is great at designing things. She made us a padded headboard, with our initials, and its white leather (I'm trying to do the whole black and white theme in the bedroom).. its like heaven in there. I came home to a hotel room it felt like.. but a comfortable one where you don't worry about bed bugs. I hugged her a lot. It is great. She did all that while checking on our dog.
10. My dryer broke. Figures. When I need it most.
Okay, that's all for now :) Back to work on Monday. This weekend I really got to take the time to get the rest of our stuff out of my parents house.. we have been here in our new place since January. I kept putting it off since I was studying for boards. So.. yeah that will be fun.

Now I finally have a sole purpose for blogging again. I got the job I interviewed for.. I'm going to be a counselor until I become RN (planning the state board exam for february).. then I will take the position as an RN and get to do RN duties.
I'm excited. I'm going to be getting paid for stuff I did in nursing school now. Woohoo!
Its in psychiatric nursing.
It figures. With all the drama in my family.. it suites me.
I start Monday.
And, we got a house. Thank God.

I passed and graduated nursing school.
Been quite a while since I wrote anything here!
But with finals and drama, well.. time to blog was scarce.
And drama.. boy do I have a lot of it to share.
Tomorrow I have an interview with a psychiatric facility for a nursing job - at 3pm.
I'm very excited about it.
I can certainly work with crazy people.
